“Go” (Week 3 Sermon)

We live in cities that are a smorgasbord of culture, race, sex, religion, and beliefs.  Jesus told the disciples to Go and be a Witness for God in these cities.  We were never saved to just go sit in church with people just like us, who make us comfortable.  Fellowship with other Christians is a necessary part of following Jesus, but it is not ALL we have been commissioned to do!  Jesus instructed us to Go and then gave great examples by spending time with the tax collectors, prostitutes, and all the outcasts of the “Religious” culture.  His time with these folks was intentional and result of His amazing love for all mankind.  Most Christians spend too much time with people that would make “Good Christians” if they would just accept Jesus.  Scripture challenges us to Go into the places that might get us talked about by the church crowd?
