Fun with Duct Tape

The Awestruck team gathered yesterday morning for a day of Bible study, building, cleaning, and shopping.  It was incredible!  For the first time I felt assured that we are going to be ready to pull off “church” next week.  We do not have everything we wanted, but what we have is done with excellence.  It is amazing what a small budget and a large amount of creativity can accomplish.  Who knew that bed sheets, steel conduit, a few 2×3’s, large cardboard tubes, and some spray paint could play such a major role in starting a new church?  It took a ton of hard work, but we have pulled off some amazing things with simple materials.  The ladies cleaned up all the nursery toys yesterday.  I must admit that I would have probably thrown away most of them, but they have them looking like brand new!  (They even passed my germophobic wife’s standards)  They also knocked out the rest of the “To Buy” list at Walmart.  The rest of us cut, nailed, duct taped, stapled, and spray painted the morning away.  We were tired, but it was all worth it.  You will just have to wait and see where all of our inginuity finds it’s home next week @ Eastern Middle.

So do you remember that song from that the mamas and the papas? Monday Monday Now….get the tune in your head.
    la la la la la
    la la la la la
    Sunday Sunday
    la la la la la
    you start your church
    la la la la la
Sunday morning the work is done, but will they show up?
Sunday morning will come to Eastern with no qaurantee.
Except Jesus will be there so don’t wooorry.

Ok so I’m a cheesball. But if you are stressed out then stop. You did this to glorify Him, make a change in the way people see church and Jesus. If you let Satan cause stumbling you will look like the rest of those :”churches” you don’t want to model. SO…worry about nothing..pray about everything, and getter’ done!!!
